Direct retinoid activity without conversion, less irritation than retinol, anti-aging, non-photosensitizing in some studies.
Apply in evening routine. Can potentially be used more frequently than traditional retinoids due to lower irritation.
Binds directly to retinoic acid receptors. Some studies show less irritation with comparable benefits, but the evidence base is much smaller than for retinol.
